Charm plate

I continually wake up at early in the morning these days. Great!
To share a piece of young tuna that my colleague caught to me, I drove some minutes to Takami shrine which a friend of mine Hatano-kun manages. Instead of tuna piece, he gave me a special charm plate that is going to be delivered for participants in Chinowa-kuguri, a Shinto ritual on 30 June every year. The ritual is for praying people's good health during summer days. From ancient times, people pray for life of safe and thanks for giving with words of gratitude. Now we tend to forget how much our life is unsettle and uncertain thing because we totally expect a technology protects our daily life from wonder of wildness. Praying looks like old-fashion idea and nobody think of it secures lives, but I suppose it is an expression of serious hope to survive this confused reality.
